At GlamCorner, we pride ourselves on the care we take in cleaning our garments between rental wears. Furthermore, we enforce very strict quality control processes when preparing and shipping styles to our customers.
The GlamCorner garment care and laundry process involves a Miele wet-cleaning system for the gentle and environmentally-friendly cleaning of delicate textiles. Wet Cleaning uses biodegradable water soluble-based detergents and is far safer and more environmentally friendly than alternative perc-based (perchloroethylene) Dry Cleaning solutions that require the use of toxic and flammable solvents. WetCare garments come out cleaner, fresher and without residual toxic chemicals that can cause skin irritations and are harmful to people and the environment that are typically associated with traditional Dry Cleaning solvents and even some domestic-grade laundry products. All items returned to GlamCorner are cleaned via this WetCare system with Trebon Plus and Lanadol Apret. Trebon Plus is a concentrated washing detergent that does not contain any environmentally-harmful phosphates, zeolites, NTA (nitrilotriacetate acid) or perborates. It chemically disinfects garments even when washed at 40°C and thus requires less energy to heat water for each cleaning cycle, while also ensuring all of our rented garments are left "clinically cleaner than off the rack". Lanadol Apret is a fibre-protecting agent with retexturing effects and antistatic properties for application in the wet cleaning process to maximise garment longevity without the use of solvents. It has skin-friendly handling properties and a high level of safety of application for sensitive materials and sophisticated garments. All Lanadol products are dermatologically tested and comply with the requirements of the “Blue Angel” (Der Blaue Engel) certification for products and services that are environmentally friendly.
When we remove any items from our hanging storage system to be prepared for packing, we also re-check all styles for any spots, stains or damage. This is a very thorough process as we have extremely strict quality control standards. If any items fail these tests, they are sent back through our cleaning and repairs system. Furthermore, all team members from the returns, laundry, picking and packing departments are required to wear gloves and face masks during their shifts to minimise any risk to customers or themselves.
